When your device sends a message, your location is included, even if you send a #COORDINATES override along with your report request.

How WXTX.info uses your location

When you send a message, it is first received by Postmark, the email provider we use, and then forwarded to wxtx.info. Postmark stores messages for 45 days. Postmark's privacy policy explains in more detail. Section 1.2 applies to you as a user of wxtx.info. Keep in mind that the rest of the policy is directed at their customers, not you.

WXTX.info stores your message temporarily in order process your request, analyze site functionality, debug problems, and provide support. WXTX keeps a more durable, but not permanent, log of some data from incoming and outgoing messages. When database backups are taken, this data is stored with the backup.

The best way to retain copies of your reports is to check "Yes" to the account setting to "Copy reports to my email".

Please send a contact or support message if you have questions.
